The Port of Andratx is a natural port of the Balearic Islands, surrounded by coves with transparent waters such as Cala Llamp, Cala Moragues and Cala d 'Egos. This modern port town, with 3,000 inhabitants, has gone from being a former fishermen's refuge to being one of the most important and most visited tourist centers in Mallorca, thanks to its nautical activity, which favors very exclusive residential tourism. El Puerto is a cosmopolitan and happy place, where numerous cultures mix and match shopping, sun and nightlife. It also offers an infinity of activities related to the sea. However, it has one of the best equipped marinas on the Islands, the Puerto de Andrach Sailing Club, with about 500 berths occupied by sports and pleasure boats. The maximum animation is concentrated on the promenade and the pier, where the Lonja building is located, testimony to the validity of the fishing activity where in the morning you can buy fresh fish catches from fishermen. Shops and restaurants with pleasant terraces overlooking the sea watch the promenade, which leads to the lighthouse and the Sailing Club, passing through the small torrent des Saluet. Heritage elements of great historical and architectural interest are located in the Port. On the one hand, the defense towers, testimonies of the corsair threat that existed in the area, such as that of Sant Carles, to sa Mola; or the one at number 9 Rodríguez Acosta Street, converted into a private home. On the other hand, religious architecture is represented by the Nuestra Señora del Carmen church. The Port of Andrach has a select hotel infrastructure and also some of the most renowned establishments in the island's gastronomic offer. In the afternoon, it becomes one of the liveliest areas of the municipality. From the port it is possible to go to sa Mola, from where you can admire a splendid sunset and the open sea with the Dragonera island.
